I want to see someone re-cut the Back to the Future movies and try their best to tell the trilogy on a linear timeline starting with Doc and Marty's arrival in 1885.

Weak Lead, Saturday Follow

The Friday before last we had a 50s Dance Party at Arthur Murray. It was our first practice in months, and it demonstrated to me just how weak my lead is when I'm uncertain of my own steps. That said, the review of Swing and Jitterbug we had during the Individual lesson just prior to the party gave me the necessary confidence during what was the night's most prominent theme.

Last week we had lessons scheduled on Saturday, an unusual occurrence that allowed us to experience MADs, or Master Arthur Murray Dancers class. Its meant to introduce more advanced students to dances that they don't normally teach. We got to go over some Argentine Tango which was nice and all but not likely to be revisited any time soon.

MADS: Argentine Tango

Individual: More Samba basics, worked on Foxtrot lead

We split up our dance class appointments this week due to illness. On Monday we went to a Foxtrot/Salsa Bronze III class and on Wednesday it was our Individual. We used our Individual to review the steps we know in Swing/Jitterbug in order to practice them on Friday at the 50s-themed dance.

Bronze III: Foxtrot (I don't recall what we did in Salsa)

Turn with a Brush Twinkle (it had a name that I need to find out)

Individual: Swing/Jitterbug
American Spin
Continuous Tuck-In
Sugar Push (Parallel left, parallel right, rock step to get out)
Alternating Turns (Right hand raised, turn left)
Hand Slides
Waist Roll
Outside, Inside Under Arm Turn
Turns and Points/Steps and Points
